Our guest speaker will be Amy Allender, lifestyle blogger and author of “She’s Not From Around Here” — a column in the Northern Sentry where she shares all the things she loves about Minot from her point of view as a transplant to the region.
Other Items on the Agenda: Elections
There will be an election for 3 BOD members. Current members of the board who have expressed a desire to continue are Chad Wright and Jason Bentley. Chad was filling a board position in place of Chad Thompson who resigned from the board in September.
Following the seating of the 3 DBPA Board Members, we will fill the president’s position by nomination and membership vote. Once the president’s position is filled, he/she will continue to chair the meeting at that time.
Other BOD members will be nominated to fill the positions of Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary.
There is no directive in the DBPA Bylaws on election of offices. I am using the Roberts Rules of Order to run the election.
Other Business
Except to bring those in attendance up to date on some of our projects, I have no other business that needs to be voted on by the membership. There are no bylaw changes, and being as we are now only a week from the annual meeting, we would not be able to give 2 weeks notice.
